Turns out this is not a simple run of touhoumon emerald 1.8 but rather a DUAL-LOCKE. That means I’m playing the game twice over with two different characters.

Except I really didn’t want Amber to end up with a very similar team to Lyla’s, so what to do? Make her side of the run a RANDOMLOCKE as well!

EXTRA RULE 1: Amber’s starter must be determined by random choice among her unused boxed team members from the previous run whose level doesn’t exceed 20. They start at level 5 regardless. (That ended up being Rinnosuke)
EXTRA RULE 2: Amber’s catches are determined by RNG – in case an evolution comes up, use the unevolved form. Legendaries are right out.
